Healthy Hunger – Fun Lunch and Snack Days

We will continue with Fun Lunches and Fun Snack Days this year.  The first lunch is Subway on September 11.  If you are interested in this for your child, please visit the Healthy Hunger website before September 6 for the first one. www.healthyhunger.ca 

School & Office Hours

Please remember that our school hours have changed.  Our new school start time is 8:55am, and afternoon dismissal is at 3:30pm. Our lunch break is VERY short and will be from 12:22pm-1:00pm.  This year, all students will go outside to play at the beginning of lunch and then all will come in to eat.  This will ensure that they all get the most time for play and eating rather than transitions.

Our office hours will be:

Monday – Thursday 8:15am-4:00pm; Friday 8:15am-1:30pm.

Please be sure to connect with the office if your child is going to be late, absent or if you need to pick them up early.  The school phone number is 403-777-6424.  The attendance line is option ‘1’.  Extension ‘0’ will get you through to one of our office staff.  The attendance line is open at all times, so you are able to call and leave a message at any point of the day or night. 

What to Expect Before Tuesday’s Start

Your child’s teacher should have emailed you already.  If you did not get an email from a teacher on Wednesday, we apologize.  We will have all the information ready for you on Tuesday morning.  The teachers will be outside, in various places around the school, to  meet your children on the first day. Please find a staff member, identified by name tags or a safety vest, and we will direct you to the correct meeting place for your child’s class. 

We have been organizing and planning the class lists since May.  A great deal of time and effort has gone into them, with student input, teacher and administration input, and parent input.  At this point in time, we will not be making any changes to class lists.  It is not uncommon for students to initially  react with a bit of emotion to some of the changes, but we ask that you allow them a few days to settle in. Thank you for your support and understanding.
