Important Information

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us for the open house on Thursday evening.  We enjoyed having you and hope you were able to connect with your child’s teachers.  It is going to be a great year.

Patrols Start on Monday

Our school safety patrols will be on duty starting on Monday.  We are very grateful for AMA for coming to do training with our patrols and to the Grade 5 and 6 students (and staff) who are committed to helping students get to and from school safely.

For safety, we remind all families to use the crosswalks and the patrols   We have already seen many people jay-walking and are concerned for the role modelling this gives our students as well as the safety of those crossing in the middle of the street.

From School Council

We held our first School Council evening last night and it was a success!!

Thank you to everyone who braved the rain and came out to support our school.

School Council dates will be advertised on the monthly calendars each month.

Please plan to attend and help support the learning.

The website for all fun lunches is www.healthyhunger.ca.  Parents are able to enter all of the orders for the entire year at any point.  This will save time in the future and also alleviate the chance of missing a lunch.  In addition, you will save on service charges if you order everything up front. The next date is September 26.  It is Popcorn Day.

Month at a Glance

We are moving to a Month at a glance calendar rather than the weekly updates.  It will be provided at the beginning of the month each month and updates will be posted on our website as they occur.

Families are reminded that our website should always be your first point of information updates as it is consistent for the whole school.

Weekly Mantra

Get to Know the Unknown

Try something new.  Take safe risks and see what you might enjoy by learning and understanding a new activity.  It might be a learning activity, or sport, or food, or a new friend.  You won’t know what is out there for you if you always stay with what you know.
