Welcome Back Update: October 26–30
Important Information
Halloween Celebrations
Friday is the day we will celebrate Halloween at school! For many students, Halloween is even more exciting than Christmas!
Since Halloween falls on a Friday, students who wish to dress up are asked to arrive at school wearing their costumes. Students who prefer not to dress up are welcome to wear orange or black clothing.
As a reminder, scary masks, extreme blood and gore, and weapons of any kind must remain at home. These items are not permitted at school, as they can cause disruption and may be alarming for other students.
We will be having a parade during our assembly, so students need to be able to sit on the floor comfortably in their costumes and move around the school with ease.
We also ask that candy and treats be kept at home. Students cannot share treats at school, so please do not send any in for that purpose. Any treats that do come to school will be sent back home, in accordance with our guidelines. Thank you for helping us avoid disappointing anyone!
We look forward to a fun day with our students!
Surveys
We will begin the CBE Student Survey and the K–3 Academic/Well-Being Surveys this week.
It is important that all parents have completed the opt-in/opt-out section of the demographic packages by Sunday evening (tonight), particularly if you do not want your child to participate.
Any students whose parents have not selected a response will be included in the survey process.
Thank you for helping us ensure that we honour your wishes regarding these information-gathering activities.
