Important Information
Mornings and School Drop-Off
We are noticing more students arriving at school later in the morning. Some of these students, we know, are taking the bus to school. The buses are arriving on time, but some students are choosing to play rather than come inside.
We ask families to reinforce the expectation that students enter the school once soft entry has started and get ready for the day.
The purpose of soft entry is to create a calm start to the day and help students avoid rushing to class. Additionally, we do not have morning supervision outside, so students who ride the bus need to come inside to ensure they are supervised.
Students who do not take the bus must be supervised by a parent or another adult until they arrive at and enter the school. This is important for everyone's safety.
Thank you for your support in helping us keep our students safe throughout the school day.
From Our School Council
Monthly Meetings
The Key Communicator role is still vacant.
If you are interested in this role, it involves attending 3–4 meetings per year with the broader CBE system. Most meetings take place online, while one is usually held in person downtown.
After attending these meetings, the Key Communicator shares the information with our School Council at the next school meeting.
