Connecting with the School Again Next Week
Mrs. Ewart will be away again next week. If you are trying to connect to the main office via email, please email Mrs. Ozon at jeozon@cbe.ab.ca. We are very lucky to have Mrs. Angela Anderson with us until she returns. Angela can be reached at anmanderson@cbe.ab.ca. Edwina should be back on October 27.
Thank you to School Council
Thank you to everyone who participated in the School Council AGM and for the generosity that we are lucky to be the recipients of. From the staff and students, we are very appreciative.
Halloween
We will celebrate Halloween on October 31 at school. Students are invited to wear their costumes in the afternoon only that day. AM Kindergarten is able to wear their costume in the morning though.
All costumes need to be school appropriate. Please no violence, blood, gore, weapons, or excessively scary costumes at school. Students who do not want to wear a costume are invited to wear their favorite colour on October 31.
We want to remind everyone also that school is a place where we strive to follow a comprehensive health model. Please do not send candy or other edible treats to school to share. Any items that are sent, will be distributed to students as they leave for the day and be taken home.
Outstanding Demographic Forms
All outstanding Demographic Forms need to be completed ASAP. These are tied to our school’s funding.
Lost & Found
Our Lost & Found Cabinets are filling up! Please ask your child(ren) to look for their belongings. There is a large number of water bottles in there also.
Student Lates & Absences
If your child is going to be late or absent, please call the office to let us know. This is also important if your child will not be on the bus at the end of the day or someone new will be picking them up. It is very important that we have this information, so we know they are safe.
Volunteer Clearances
If you would like to Volunteer and have not completed a Police Clearance yet, please bring your government issued ID to the office and Edwina will give you the required letter so that you are able to come in. 2 pieces of government issued ID is required. We can also get you set up at the Open House.
If you are already registered and would like to come in on a regular basis, please contact Edwina to be on our regular call list. You can email her at eoewart@cbe.ab.ca

Weekly Mantra
I Can Think Things Through. (SEL Competency: Responsible Decision Making, Self-Management)
Breathe, step back, think, react. So easy to be impulsive! Stop and think about what some possible consequences might be. Think about the WORST, the BEST, the funniest, and the weirdest thing that might happen.
