Important Information

Recess Snacks & Lunches

Many students are starting to request snacks at school.  Although we do have some emergency snacks on hand, we are not always able to keep up with the demand.  Please remember to send a full lunch and a recess snack to school with your children each day. If you are experiencing difficulty with having enough to send to school with your children, please let the school know and we will try to help if we can.

Freezie Friday – May 31 - $2.00 each

Freezie Friday was a huge success this week.  As part of our Grade 6 Farewell Fundraising, we will be having another Freezie Friday to support the Grade 6 parent group.  Freezies will be available to purchase on Friday May 31.  The cost is $2.00 each.  Please send in exact change.  Students will be limited to 1 freezie each.

Spirit Day

Our next Spirit Day is this Thursday, June 13.  It will be Backwards / Opposite Day. Students are invited to wear their clothes backwards … we may even try to do some fun backwards kind of activities.

We will continue with the ranked favorites list as we begin again in September before setting our new list for next school year.

Parking Concerns

Please remember that the area immediately in front of the main doors and to the south, is a bus zone and there are no parking signs in place.

In order for everyone to be able to drop off and pick up their children, please use the remaining space along Chaparral Drive as a quick stop only.  If you are wanting to get out of your vehicle or stay at the park, please park further down or around the corner in order to let other parents stop and go during drop off and pick up.  We thank you in advance for your help.

Weekly Mantra

I am a creator. (SEL Competency: Self-Awareness)

Being a creator is being open to possibility. It is working to push yourself to step outside your comfort zone, and it is experimenting with something new. When you feel stuck, it is important to remember that you are not alone, and that ruts are temporary. Spark your imagination, because everything that you can imagine you can create!
