Important Information

Spring Fever

Spring has finally arrived and we are experiencing it in all of its energy!  It is an exciting time of year and children and adults alike tend to have more energy.  The sun is up longer and outdoor sports are more prevalent again.

As a result of all of this extra activity and the extension of the daylight, we are noticing that many students are more tired during the day.  We would like to ask that families do what they can in the busy-ness of Spring schedules, to help their children get the sleep they need to be productive at school.

Recess Snacks

Many students are starting to request snacks at school.  Although we do have some emergency snacks on hand, we are not always able to keep up with the demand.  Please remember to send a full lunch and a recess snack to school with your children each day.

If you are experiencing difficulty with having enough to send to school with your children, please let the school know and we will try to help if we can.

Yearbook Orders

The link to order a yearbook will be out very soon!  The final price will be $20.00 per book including GST.  To order your yearbook, please visit: ybpay.ca. You will need a code:  YB pay Code: 14387224

All orders MUST be in by May 26 so that we can get them in before the end of the school year.

Spirit Day

Our next Spirit Day is this Thursday, June 13.  It will be Backwards/Opposite Day. Students are invited to wear their clothes backwards … we may even try to do some fun backwards kind of activities.

We will continue with the ranked favorites list as we begin again in September before setting our new list for next school year.

Parking Concerns

Please remember that the area immediately in front of the main doors and to the south, is a bus zone and there are no parking signs in place.

In order for everyone to be able to drop off and pick up their children, please use the remaining space along Chaparral Drive as a quick stop only.  If you are wanting to get out of your vehicle or stay at the park, please park further down or around the corner in order to let other parents stop and go during drop off and pick up.  We thank you in advance for your help.

Weekly Mantra

I know myself. (SEL Competency: Self-Awareness)

Knowing yourself is the beginning of all understanding. You need to know who you are, what you are good at, and believe that you are capable and wise. This understanding will help to develop your self-worth, self-confidence, and self-belief. "Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom."–Lao Tzu.
