Thank you so much to the Calgary Stampede Caravan Breakfast team and all of our volunteers who helped make the Pancake Breakfast and Activity Day a special event.

Also, a special thank you to Russ Rogers from AVI-SPL for the popsicles that were shared at the end of the day.  They were a tasty treat enjoyed by all!

Freezie Friday

Freezie Friday and Potato Chip Friday Have both been very successful. As part of our Grade 6 Farewell Fundraising, we will be having our last Freezie Friday on June 21 to support the Grade 6 parent group.  Freezies will be available to purchase on Friday June 21. The cost is $2.00 each.  Please send in exact change.  Students will be limited to 1 freezie each.

Lost & Found

The Lost & Found bins are VERY FULL. As we get closer to the end of the year, we would like for these items to be returned to their rightful owners.  Please remind your children to check the Lost & Found daily to retrieve lost items.  We will start to display them in the hallways in the last week of school. Anything left on Thursday June 27 will be bagged up and taken to donation.

Students Biking / Rollerblading / Scootering to School

Students who are choosing to come to school using their bikes, roller blades or scooters are reminded of the safety around this transportation.  All students using bikes, etc., to come to school are reminded to wear a helmet and have a lock for their equipment.  Roller blades needs to be removed at the door and we ask that scooters and bikes be walked along the sidewalk in from of the school as it is a busy place.

There have been a few near misses and we do not want any of our school community members; students, parents and staff alike, to be injured.

We love that students are getting your exercise this way, we just want everyone to be safe while ‘riding’ to school.

Weekly Mantra

It’s Okay to be Sad. (SEL Competency: Self-Awareness)

It can be hard when things end, and endings can often make us sad. Don’t forget that you are human. It’s okay to feel down, just don’t unpack and live there. Cry it out and then refocus on where you are headed. What kinds of things make you feel better when you are sad?
