Weekly Update Jan. 22-26 | New Staff, Traffic Safety, Pink Shirts, School Council, Fun Lunches
Welcome!!
Welcome to Ms. Hornseth!! Ms. Hornseth will be teaching Mrs. Wilson’s Grade Six class While Mrs. Wilson is in the Acting Assistant Principal role. We are excited to have you on our staff Mrs. Hornseth.
Traffic Safety
We have had an increasing number of vehicles making unsafe driving decisions around the school during arrival and dismissal. With the cold weather, we have not had our patrols out to protect them from the cold. Our staff are still monitoring the crosswalk at Chaparral Drive. There have been many infractions that are concerning. Please drive with extra caution on these icy roads. We are dedicated to ensuring all of our students arrive and leave school safely each day.
Additionally, the very front of the school is for school buses only. Please do not stop or park in the bus zone. Even in the very cold, it is important to keep this space open.
Thank you for doing your part to keep our students safe.

Weekly Mantra
It’s Okay to be Mad. (SEL Competency: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Relationship Skills)
Explain your anger, don’t express it, and you will immediately open the door to solutions instead of arguments. What does ‘express’ mean? What would that look like? What does ‘solution’ mean? What is an argument?
