Important Information
Welcome Back
It is so very nice to be back with students and to see everyone’s bright smiling faces. We look forward to starting anew and growing our learning community forward in a positive way. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with your encouragement and support.
It was wonderful to bring all of the students together for a Hallowe’en assembly and show off our costumes and enjoy a whole school mini dance party. The joy and smiling faces were so great to see!
School Picture Day
Monday, November 3 is our school picture day. This will be for individual pictures only. Class photos are scheduled for the Spring.
Cooler Weather
Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately to participate in all outdoor activities including early in the day. Phys Ed and recess, twice in the day, are outside and it is important that students are dressed properly. At minimum a fall weighted jacket is needed for each student.
Holiday Support
The holiday season will be here before we know it. This is a time of year that we see more families needing support. If support at Christmas time is something that you would benefit from, please contact Mrs. Robinson and Ms. Bratko so we can look into options for support.
Traffic Safety
As we return to school, we remind everyone of our due diligence to keep our students safe. Please be mindful of students crossing the street, the patrols and the bus zones. Students are reminded to use the crosswalks and not jay walk.
Thank you for working with us to protect our students!

Lunches and Snacks
The support of Brown Bagging for Kids is proving to be very beneficial for some students. We know that family situations change, and we want to be responsive to that. If your child would benefit from this lunch support, please contact Mrs. Robinson or Ms. Bratko so we can make sure they are on the list to receive a lunch.
We understand that some students may need this service on a periodic basis. We will be letting families know if your child is accessing a lunch from school. By contacting you, we only wish to inform you that your child may need more lunch or snack each day.
Backpacks
We still have some backpacks to give to those who need one. If your child needs a backpack, please contact Mrs. Robinson or Ms. Bratko if your child could use one of them. They are new and large enough for a library book.
From School Council
Our next meeting will be November 20 at 6:30pm – Grades 2 is presenting. This is our AGM also. We will be voting in the new executive. Quorum is needed (25 people minimum) Please plan to attend and help support the learning of your children.

Our next Spirit Day will be on Thursday November 20. We will have Stuffie and a Flashlight Day on this day! Students and staff are welcome to bring their favourite stuffed animal and a flashlight. We will do some fun activities that incorporate both.
Month at a Glance
We have a Month at a glance calendar that will be distributed at the beginning of each month. Updates will be posted on our website as they occur.
Please check our website for calendar updates. You can subscribe to it and the updates will go straight to your phone!! You will always be in the know!
Families are reminded that our website should always be your first point of information updates as it is consistent for the whole school.
