Important Information
Thanks for Attending the Spring Concert
Thank you for attending the Spring Concert! We really enjoyed sharing the talents of our students with their families. It was a beautiful venue and fun evening. Please watch for an opportunity to provide feedback on the evening in the very near future.
Congratulations to all of our students!! You really know how to put on a show!!
Planning for 2025-26
Please continue to send in your intentions for next year. We are beginning the process of preparing for the next school year and it is very important to be able to plan for the correct number of students. Please try to have these to us by Thursday of this coming week. If you are planning to move schools and are staying within the CBE, please contact the office so that we can support with the necessary documents and guidance.
Freezie Fridays
We had our first Freezie Friday this past week. We will hold more of these days in the weeks to come. Please see the flyer that was sent home with your child or the posters that are in the windows of the doors at the school. Please note, there is a limit to 1 freezie per student each week. This is sponsored by the Grade 6 Farewell Parent Committee.
From the Office
Volunteering at Chaparral School
This week is National Volunteer Appreciation Week! We are incredibly grateful for the volunteers who support our school! Your time and dedication allow us to bring extra opportunities to our students. Thank you very much for all that you do!!
If you have completed your Police Check and our annual volunteer registration you are eligible to volunteer at our school. Please email the school at chaparral@cbe.ab.ca is you would like to come in on a regular basis. We are always looking for support to complete odd tasks throughout the school.
Please note, volunteering in individual classrooms is an independent teacher decision and is based on need for the support. There are many other ways to volunteer in the school. Please contact the office to find out more.
From our School Council
Our next School Council meeting is Thursday, May 8 at 6:30pm. Gr. 5 will be presenting. The meeting will be held at the school, in person.
Fun Lunch/Fun Snacks & Spirit Days
Our next Fun Lunch day is May 8. It is Opa.
Our next Spirit Day is Thursday, May 8. It is Favourite Colour Day! Students are invited to dress up in their favourite colour from head to toe (if desired)! It will be so cool to see all of the colours of the rainbow displayed. I am so curious to see what colour is the most favourite among our students and staff.
Weekly Mantra
Stay Curious. Have Adventures.
(SEL Competency – Self-Awareness & IELLF – Spirit Domain)
Stay curious and let each day be an adventure! Keep room in your heart for what you love, try new things, and enjoy every moment. When we stay curious, amazing things happen!
