Important Information

New Bell Time & Transportation News for Next Year

We have been designated new bell times for the next school year.  If you did not receive the email from the CBE, our new school start time is 8:55am and the end of school will be 3:30pm.  This will affect our lunch hour and times are being calculated.  We hope to share this information with you shortly.

Additionally, the bus routes are being adjusted to accommodate more riders.  The walk zone has changed and additional students will be eligible for the bus.  The CBE will be sending this information also very soon.  It will be important to register your children for the bus as soon as it is available as the routes are planned based on registered riders.  Registration is required ASAP; however, payment is not necessary until the new school year.  It is easier to change your mind and cancel the bus than to add your child to the registered bus list after it is established.

Professional Learning Day & the May Long Weekend

This Friday is a Professional Learning Day.  Staff will be at the school continuing our work on assessment and to begin planning for the new school year.  This will make the long weekend a 4-day weekend for students.  We hope you enjoy this extra time and we will see everyone back to school on Tuesday May 20.

Freezie Fridays

We had our first Freezie Friday this past week.  We will hold more of these days in the weeks to come.  Please see the flyer that was sent home with your child or the posters that are in the windows of the doors at the school.  Please note, there is a limit to 1 Freezie per student each week.  This is sponsored by the Grade 6 Farewell Parent Committee.  There will not be a Freezie Friday this week due to the Professional Learning Day on Friday.
