Important Information
Daylight Savings Time
Time jumped forward last night! Please remember to adjust your clocks so that everyone is on time for school in the morning!!
Spring Concert
We are so excited for our Spring Concert this year. Jukebox Time Machine is the musical this year and it will include our entire school population. Save the date for April 28. This year the concert will be held at First Alliance Church. Please be sure to connect your emails to accept commercial items so that you don’t miss any of the information. Watch for a ticket form coming home with your oldest child also! You won’t want to miss it!!
School Conferences
School conferences are coming on March 20 and 21. This year, we are not able to hold our regular student led conferences for Spring. Due to the CUPE labour disruption, all conferences will be online. Conference booking opens for families on Thursday March 13 at 4:30pm. When you book your conference, you will be sent a link to connect with the teacher at your chosen time. We understand that these conferences are different than what we prefer to hold and want to encourage families to still join via the online format. We love to celebrate your children’s successes and this is the way we can do this for this round. We thank you in advance.
Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair will still operate during the week of March 17-21. More information will be coming home in the coming days. It will look different than the past, however we are still hopeful that it will be successful.
We will also need volunteers to help make this event successful. If you are able to support us with volunteering at the book fair, please sign up.
School Engagement
At the last School Council meeting, we shared our School Development Plan and School Budget. It was our engagement meeting and we collected feedback from those in attendance. The presentation and a survey to gather further information from the rest of our school community, is now posted on our website. Please visit the School Planning Engagement page and complete the survey before March 12.
Lost and Found
We are very pleased that the lost and found is being checked regularly. There is less than usual in the cupboards, however they still have a number of important items – snow pants/mitts/sweaters etc. please have your child look for lost items. Parents are welcome to check as well. Please check in at the office to do so.
Any remaining items will be donated after the School Conferences on March 21.
