June is National Indigenous History Month Italian, Filipino and Portuguese Heritage Month & PRIDE Month
Sports Day
Friday, June 20 is our Sports Day. Students will be participating in activities throughout the school and playground from 10:30am-12:20pm (approximate times). It will be very important that all students come to school with sunscreen on and dressed for the weather, including hats and sunglasses if needed.
Students will be receiving a treat also at the end of the Sports Day activities.
Please see the email from Mr. Van Roekel if you are interested in volunteering for this very fun event.
Grade 6 Farewell
Our Grade 6 Farewell will be held on Tuesday, June 24 at 1:45pm. Parents and guests are invited to attend and arrive no earlier than 1:30pm please. There will be an assembly and “formal” program followed by a reception, sponsored by the Grade 6 Parent Farewell Committee.
Younger siblings of our Grade Six students are welcome to attend if requested by parents. Please send these requests to your child’s Grade Six teacher so that we can communicate to the other classes.
We look forward to celebrating your children with you soon.
All further questions can be addressed with the Grade 6 teachers.
Transportation Registration
Please be sure to register for Transportation. If your child is eligible for transportation under the new guidelines, it is important to register to ensure they have a place on the bus to ride. Registration is not payment!!! There is no financial impact until mid-September. You have to register early though to ensure there is a space for them. Cancelling in easier than adding a route in the Fall. The deadline for yellow bus transportation registration is now Sunday, June 22.

The Lost & Found is Exploding with Great Clothes
With the warm weather comes the inevitable growth of the lost and found! Your children are choosing to shed their hoodies and jackets as they get too warm when on recess. All of these items eventually find their way to the Lost and Found cabinets.
Although we love to have a great space to collect these belongings, we are sad to see them so overflowing!
Please ensure you and your children are checking them regularly. If there is a specific item missing, please email your child’s teacher to get assistance in re-locating it again. We are always happy to re-unite the missing pieces with their owners.
All clothing left on the last day of school will be donated.
From our School Council
We held our last School Council meeting of the year on Thursday, June 12 at 6:30pm. We would like to thank our council for a great year of working together to provide amazing opportunities for our students.
Our first School Council date of next year will be on Thursday, September 11, 2025. We hope to see you there.
Fun Lunch/Fun Snacks & Spirit Days
Stay tuned for new choices and dates in the new school year.
New Spirit Days will be determined in the new school year also.
