Happy Easter! We wish you safe & relaxing Spring Break!

School Conferences

Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend our conferences and visit our book fair.  We love seeing our families in the school and even more so, celebrating your children with you.  This is our last formal conference time of the year; however, you are always welcome to ask for a meeting with your child’s teacher if your need to discuss anything in the future.

Celebrating Some Grade 5 Artists

Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success. We look forward to sharing with you the total amounts earned to support the school, in the near future. Thank you to all of our families for your support and to Mrs. Jackson and the volunteers who also dedicated time to ensure it ran smoothly.

School Development Plan & Budget Engagement

On Thursday, March 14, we shared our School Development Plan and Budget information and gathered input for future work from those in attendance. The presentation and feedback information is posted now to our website on the “School Planning and Engagement page." Please take a minute to give us feedback on the work we are doing at the school.

Spirit Day

Our next Spirit Day is April 11. It will be Stuffie & a Flashlight Day. Students are invited to bring a favourite stuffed animal and a flashlight. Activities will be incorporated into the classroom learning.  Students are reminded that stuffed animals are a personal thing and should not be shared with others.  This will help keep everyone healthy.

Moving Forward, the Spirit Days for the rest of the year are:

  • May – Favorite Colour Day
  • June – Backward/Opposite Day

We will continue with the ranked favorites list as we begin again in September before setting our new list for next school year.

Weekly Mantra (Week of April 1-5)

Think of others. (SEL Competency: Social Awareness, Relationship Skills)

Think of what they might be feeling. Think about what THEY need or want. Try to think of how you would feel if you were them.
