Stay Informed:

Important Information

Demographic Packages

Demographic information is gathered every September for all our students.  This is one of the ways the government determines the funding for our school, and it is a requirement of parents to complete this every year.  When we have incomplete information, we are then at risk of not receive compliance and therefore this could affect the funding.

If you receive an email regarding your forms, please complete them ASAP.  It is very important.

Wall Ball

We are suspending wall ball for the foreseeable future as we are navigating safety considerations with the game.  Students are asked to keep their wall balls at home.  Instead, we are opening all of the painted playground games on the compound and hoping students will learn some new games and ways to play with others.

From Our School Council

Monthly Meetings

Thank you to the parents who attended our AGM School Council meeting this week.  It was a productive meeting, and we voted in a new executive for the 2026-27 school year.  Our new executive is as follows:

  • Chairperson – Laura Yuhasz
  • Vice-Chairperson – Jessie Worobec
  • Treasurer – Amanda Cornett-Ching
  • Secretary – Shannon Donahue
  • Key Communicator – VACANT

If you are interested in the Key Communicator Role, it entails 3-4 meetings a year with the greater CBE system.  Most of these are online.  One is usually as an in-person meeting, downtown.  After attending these meetings, the key communicator would share the information back with our school council at the next school meeting.  Please email chaparralschoolcouncil@gmail.com if this is a role you would like to consider.

Our next School Council meeting is November 19

Our next Fun Snack is October 29 – Cobs

Volunteers are needed to ensure students get their snacks or lunches on time.  If you have a valid security clearance, please sign up to help on Fun Lunch/Snack days at the following link.
