Important Information

No More Time Change

As you likely know, we will not be changing our clock for daylight savings time any longer.  Please make sure to double check your digital clocks as there may be discrepancies with various clocks that are programmed to change automatically.  We hope to have minimal disruption due to late arrivals as possible. 

Terry Fox Fundraising Update

We finally have the full amount of our Terry Fox Fundraiser totaled.  Our total amount both in at-school donations and online was $2565.15. 

We had challenged the students to a fundraising goal.  As such, they exceeded the goal and will receiving the rewards this coming week.  Since they exceeded the amount, students will receive all 3 levels of incentive.  This includes popcorn ($1000 goal award), a dance party ($1500 goal award) and a whip cream pie to the Principal and Asst. Principal ($2000 goal award).  We did the dance part portion today as part of our Hallowe’en activities.  The remainder of the incentives will be shared this coming week.

If you are available to volunteer with preparing the popcorn, please let Mrs. Robinson know.  Valid security clearance is required. We will be looking for help on Thursday this week.

Remembrance Day Ceremony

Remembrance Day is coming.  Although the actual day of remembrance is during our Fall Break, we will be holding our annual Remembrance Day Ceremony on Nov 10, before the break.  This ceremony is open to the community and will begin at approximately 10:45am.  Poppies will be distributed to students at school on November 10, before the ceremony. 

Christmas Supports

We are getting close to the time of year that planning for the holidays becomes part of most people’s plans.  We know that this is also a time of year that can be more challenging for some of our families.  As a school, we have access to some supports depending on the need. 

If your family would benefit from some support as Christmas, please let Mrs. Robinson or Ms. Bratko know ASAP.  We cannot guarantee anything, however once we know what the needs are in our school community, we will work to support you as best as we can. 

We recognize that it can be difficult to ask for support and want to assure you that your privacy and personal information will be kept in confidence.  Our goal is to support without any judgement.  Please let us know by November 16 at the latest or sooner if possible.
