Important Information
Be Brave Hitmen Game and Pink Shirt Day
Our field trip to the Be Brave Hitmen Game is on Tuesday, February 24. All students attending this field trip will be receiving a t-shirt, that will be given out the morning of the trip. We ask that they wear it to the game. Volunteers will be given a shirt that day also.
There are still a couple of back up volunteer positions open for Mrs. Gilson’s, Ms. Cottrell’s and Mrs. Wilson’s classes. If you are able to be on call for this trip, and there is an opening for your child’s class, please sign up at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0E49ACA722A4FE3-62278101-hitmen
On Wednesday, February 25, we will recognize Pink Shirt Day. This is a day to stand up against bullying. All students are encouraged to wear Pink on this day also to show their commitment to stand up against bullying.
From the Office
Wet & Muddy Clothing
With the warmer weather and growing puddles, we are needing to find dry clothing for students more often. As a result, we are asking that ALL students, regardless of grade, have a change of pants including underwear and socks for this reason. Please keep them in a bag within their backpacks so they can change and be comfortable should they get wet or muddy.
Additionally, if your child has worn clothing home from the school, could you please launder and return this clothing. Our reserves are very low and we do not have much to be able to support a change if needed. We are only requesting the pants or tops back. Please do not return undergarments. These were new when given to your child and we do not reuse them.
From School Council
Our next meeting will be February 19, 2026, at 6:30 PM – Grade 3 is presenting.
Fun Lunch is on February 19. It is Subway.
Our next Spirit Day will be on Thursday February 19. We will have Cozy Day on this day! Students and staff are encouraged to dress in their comfiest and coziest clothing. They may bring a blanket or a stuffed animal. Think about how you like to be when you are curling up on the couch … that can be a guide for how you may choose to come to school this day.
Monthly Mantra
The monthly mantra for February is:
Imagine a world where each word, each thought, each turn of a page in a book is the beginning of a bigger idea
